March 23 - 30, 2011 – 45 Dairy farmers from Finland and Denmark visited 19 farms in Ontario and New York. Stops included 7 robotic milking herds with 120 to 750 cows, a compost bedding pack dairy, a 4000 head custom heifer raiser, herds featuring automatic feeding and bedding systems, tunnel ventilation and anaerobic digesters as well as a number of well managed conventional parlor dairies ranging in size from 70 to more than 4000 cows.
